e lhes indagou: “Recebestes o Espírito Santo na época em que crestes?” Ao que eles replicaram: “De forma alguma, nem sequer soubemos que existe o Espírito Santo!”

disse-lhes: Recebestes vós o Espírito Santo quando crestes? E eles disseram-lhe: Nós sequer ouvimos se há algum Espírito Santo.

“Receberam o Espírito Santo quando creram?”, perguntou-lhes. “Não, nem entendemos o que seja o Espírito Santo!”

Lhes disse: "O Espírito Santo recebestes vós quando havendo crido?" E eles lhe disseram: "Nem mesmo ouvimos nós [já no passado] se um tal Espírito Santo há."

He asked them, “Did you receive the Ruach HaKodesh when you came to trust?” “No,” they said to him, “we have never even heard that there is such a thing as the Ruach HaKodesh .”

He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

and he said unto them, Did ye receive the Holy Ghost when ye believed? And they said unto him, Nay, we did not so much as hear whether the Holy Ghost was given.
