Então eles se informaram indagando: “Quem, dentre todas as tribos de Israel, não compareceu diante de Yahweh em Mispá?” E chegou-se à conclusão de que nenhuma pessoa de Iavesh Guilad, Jabes-Gileade, tinha subido ao acampamento para a assembleia.

E eles disseram: Qual das tribos de Israel não subiu até o Senhor em Mispá? E eis que ninguém de Jabes-Gileade havia vindo à assembleia.

E tornaram a refletir com respeito àquele juramento que tinham feito, de matar os que se tivessem recusado apresentar-se em Mizpá, acabando por constatar que ninguém de Jabes-Gileade viera.

E disseram: Qual é a uma das tribos de Israel que não subiu ao SENHOR a Mizpá? E eis que ninguém de Jabes-Gileade viera ao arraial, à assembleia.

Then they asked who from the tribes of Isra’el had not come up to ADONAI at Mitzpah and found that none had come from Yavesh-Gil‘ad to the camp where the assembly was;

And they said, What one is there of the tribes of Israel that came not up to Mizpeh to the LORD? And, behold, there came none to the camp from Jabeshgilead to the assembly.

And they said, What one is there of the tribes of Israel that came not up unto the LORD to Mizpah? And, behold, there came none to the camp from Jabesh-gilead to the assembly.

Por isso perguntavam se não havia alguma tribo de Israel que não tivesse subido para o Senhor em Masfa. Ora, ninguém de Jabes em Galaad tinha vindo ao acampamento ou comparecido à assembléia.

Então eles se informaram indagando: "Quem, dentre as tribos de Israel, não subiu a Masfa perante Iahweh?" E verificou-se que ninguém de Jabes de Galaad tinha vindo ao acampamento, à assembléia.

Then they said, Who is it of all the lineages of Israel, that went not up to the Lord in Mizpeh? And lo! the dwellers of Jabesh of Gilead were found, that they were not in that host. (And again they said, Who is it out of all of Israel’s tribes, who did not go up unto the Lord at Mizpeh? And lo! the inhabitants of Jabesh of Gilead were found, that they had not been in that gathering.)

Then they said, Who is it of all the lineages of Israel, that went not up to the Lord in Mizpeh? And lo! the dwellers of Jabesh of Gilead were found, that they were not in that host.

Depois tornaram a pensar na promessa feita, de que seriam mortos os que não tivessem atendido à convocação para reunião feita diante do Senhor, em Mispa.
