19 For when our fathers were led into Persia, the priests that were then devout took the fire of the altar privily, and hid it in an hollow place of a pit without water, where they kept it sure, so that the place was unknown to all men.
19 For indeed when our fathers were about to be led into the land of Persia, [31]the godly priests of that time took of the fire of the altar, and hid it privily in the hollow of a well that was without water, wherein they made it sure, so that the place was unknown to all men.
19 Na verdade, quando nossos pais foram levados à Pérsia, os sacerdotes de então, inflamados de piedade, tomaram secretamente o fogo sagrado do altar e o esconderam no fundo de um poço seco, onde eles o ocultaram tão cuidadosamente, que o lugar permaneceu desconhecido de todos.
19 De fato, enquanto nossos pais eram conduzidos para a Pérsia, os piedosos sacerdotes de então tomaram do fogo do altar secretamente e o ocultaram na cavidade de um poço esgotado. Ali o deixaram em segurança, de tal modo que o lugar ficou ignorado de todos.
