Or as when a bird hath flown through the air, there is no token of her way to be found, but the light air being beaten with the stroke of her wings and parted with the violent noise and motion of them, is passed through, and therein afterwards no sign where she went is to be found;

[16] Or as when a bird flieth through the air,No token of her passage is found, But the light wind, lashed with the stroke of her pinions, And rent asunder [17] with the violent rush of the moving wings, is passed through, And afterwards no sign of her coming is found therein:

Como a ave que, atravessando o ar em seu vôo, não deixa após si o traço de sua passagem, mas, ferindo o ar com suas penas, fende-o com a impetuosa força do bater de suas asas, atravessa-o e logo nem se nota indício de sua passagem;

Ou como o pássaro que voa pelos ares sem deixar vestígios de seu curso; o leve ar, fustigado pelas penas, fendido pelo vigoroso silvo, é aberto em estrada pelas asas, sem que se encontre algum sinal de sua rota.

Either as a bird, that flyeth over in the air, of which no proof is found of the way thereof, but only the sound of wings beating (the) light wind, and carving the air by the might of (the) way, and with wings moved together it flew over, and after this no sign is found of the way thereof. [Or as a bird, that over-flyeth in the air, of the which none evidence is found of his way, but only the sound of wings beating the light wind, and cutting by force the air of the way, and together stirred the wings over-flyeth, and after that no sign is found of his way.]
