And if the king Sennacherib had slain any, when he was come, and fled from Judea, I buried them privily; for in his wrath he killed many; but the bodies were not found, when they were sought for of the king.

Enterrei igualmente os que Senaquerib matou. Quando regressou da Judéia em fuga, depois do castigo que lhe mandou o Rei do céu, por causa de suas blasfêmias, Senaquerib, em sua ira, mandou matar muitos dos filhos de Israel. Então eu retirava seus corpos para dar-lhes sepultura. Senaquerib os procurava e não mais os encontrava.

Enterrei também aqueles que Senaqueribe mandou matar, quando regressou como fugitivo da Judeia, durante o tempo do castigo que o Rei do céu decretou contra ele pelas blasfémias que havia proferido. Senaqueribe ficou tão furioso que mandou matar muitos israelitas. Mas em segredo, eu pegava nos corpos e enterrava-os; e, quando Senaqueribe os procurava não os achava.
