Since the day that the Lord brought our forefathers out of the land of Egypt, unto this present day, we have been disobedient unto the Lord our God, and we have been negligent in not hearing his voice.

[34] Since the day that the Lord brought our fathers out of the land of Egypt, unto this present day, we have been disobedient unto the Lord our God, and we have dealt unadvisedly in not hearkening unto his voice.

Desde o dia em que o Senhor tirou nossos pais do Egito até agora, persistimos em nos mostrar recalcitrantes contra o Senhor, nosso Deus, e, em nossa leviandade, recusamos escutar-lhe a voz.

Desde o dia em que o Senhor fez sair nossos pais da terra do Egito, até o dia de hoje, temos sido indóceis para com o Senhor nosso Deus e rebeldes,[i] recusando-nos a ouvir sua voz.

from the day in which he led our fathers out of the land of Egypt, till into this day, we were unbelieveful to our Lord God; and we were scattered, and went away, (so) that we heard not the voice of him. [from the day that he led out our fathers from the land of Egypt, unto this day, we were mis-trowable to the Lord our God; and scattered we went away, lest we should hear the voice of him.]
