Wherefore the evils cleaved unto us, and the curse, which the Lord appointed by Moses his servant at the time that he brought our fathers out of the land of Egypt, to give us a land that floweth with milk and honey, like as it is to see this day.

[35] Wherefore the plagues clave unto us, [36] and the curse, which the Lord commanded Moses his servant to pronounce in the day that he brought our fathers out of the land of Egypt, to give us a land [37] that floweth with milk and honey, as at this day.

Por isso, como agora o vemos, persegue-nos a calamidade assim como a maldição que o Senhor pronunciara pela boca de Moisés, seu servo, quando este fez com que saíssem do Egito nossos pais, a fim de nos proporcionar uma terra que mana leite e mel.

And many evils and cursings, which the Lord ordained to his servant Moses, cleaved to us; which Lord led our fathers out of the land of Egypt, to give to us a land flowing (with) milk and honey, as (it is) in this day. [And there cleaved to us many evils, and cursings, the which the Lord set to his servant Moses; that led out our fathers from the land of Egypt, to give to us the land flowing milk and honey, as in this day.]

Por isso, até hoje estão a cair sobre nós desgraças e maldição, conforme o Senhor havia dito a Moisés, seu servo, quando tirou os nossos antepassados do Egito para nos dar uma terra onde corre leite e mel.
