23 But he began to consider discreetly, and as became his age, and the excellency of his ancient years, and the honour of his gray head, whereon was come, and his most honest education from a child, or rather the holy law made and given by God: therefore he answered accordingly, and willed them straightways to send him to the grave.
23 But he, having formed a high resolve, and one that became his years, and the dignity of old age, and [39]the gray hairs [40]which he had reached with honour, and his excellent [41]education from a child, [42]or rather that became the holy [43]laws of God's ordaining, declared his mind accordingly, bidding them quickly send him unto Hades.
23 And he began for to think (about) the worthy excellence of age, and of his eld (age), and the free-born hoariness of nobility, and of (his) best living from child(hood); and by the ordinances of (the) holy law, and made of (or by) God, he answered soon, saying, that he would be sent before into hell (or to the grave). [And he began for to think the worthy excellence of age, and his eld, and the free born hoariness, or nobility, and from childhood of best living; and after the ordinances of holy law, and made of God, he answered soon, saying, him for to will to be sent before into hell.]
23 And he began for to think the worthy excellence of age, and of his eld age, and the free-born hoariness of nobility, and of best living from child[hood]; and by [or after] the ordinances of holy law, and made of God, he answered soon, saying, that he would be sent before into hell.
23 But he began to consider discreetly, and as became his age, and the excellency of his ancient years, and the honor of his gray head, whereon was come, and his most honest education from a child, or rather the holy Torah made and given by Elohiym: therefore he answered accordingly, and willed them straightways to send him to She'ol.
