And so haughty was Antiochus in mind, that he considered not that the Lord was angry for a while for the sins of them that dwelt in the city, and therefore his eye was not upon the place.

And Antiochus [28] was lifted up in mind, not seeing that because of the sins of them that dwelt in the city [29] the Sovereign Lord had been provoked to anger [30] a little while, and therefore his eye was then [31] turned away from the place.
