This money then, in regard of the sender, was appointed to Hercules' sacrifice; but because of the bearers thereof, it was employed to the making of gallies.

And though in the purpose of the sender this money was for the sacrifice of Hercules, yet on account of [32] present circumstances it went to the equipment of the galleys.
