Then commanded he them to draw it up, and to bring it; and when the sacrifices were laid on, Neemias commanded the priests to sprinkle the wood and the things laid thereupon with the water.

He commanded them to draw out thereof and bring to him: and when [33] the sacrifices had been offered on the altar, Nehemiah commanded the priests [34] to sprinkle with the water both the wood and the things laid thereupon.

Neemias ordenou-lhes que o tirassem e o trouxessem. Uma vez preparada a matéria do sacrifício, disse Neemias aos sacerdotes que derramassem a água sobre a madeira e sobre o que estava ali colocado.

Como estes referissem que não se encontrava mais o fogo, mas só uma água espessa, ele mandou-os tirar um pouco dessa água para que lha trouxessem. Tendo-se, então, trazido o que era necessário para os sacrifícios, ordenou Neemias aos sacerdotes que aspergissem com aquela água a lenha e quanto se encontrava sobre ela.
