For the elements were changed in themselves by a kind of harmony, like as in a psaltery notes change the name of the tune, and yet are always sounds; which may well be perceived by the sight of the things that have been done.

For as the notes of a [48] psaltery vary the character of the rhythm, Even so did the elements, [49] changing their order one with another, Continuing always the same, each in its several sound; As may clearly be [50] divined from the sight of the things that are come to pass.
