7 For the potter, tempering soft earth, fashioneth every vessel with much labour for our service: yea, of the same clay he maketh both the vessels that serve for clean uses, and likewise also all such as serve to the contrary: but what is the use of either sort, the potter himself is the judge.
7 [13]For a potter, kneading soft earth, Laboriously mouldeth each several vessel for our service: Nay, [14]out of the same clay doth he fashion Both [15]the vessels that minister to clean uses, and those of a contrary sort, All in like manner; But what shall be the use of each vessel of either sort, The [16]craftsman himself is the judge.
7 Eis, portanto, um oleiro que amassa laboriosamente a terra mole, e forma diversos objetos para nosso uso, mas da mesma argila faz vasos destinados a fins nobres e outros, indiferentemente, para usos opostos. Para qual destes usos cada vaso será aplicado? O oleiro será o juiz.
7 Eis um oleiro que penosamente amassa uma terra mole e modela cada objeto para nosso uso. Da mesma argila modelou os vasos que servem às ações puras, como também, do mesmo modo, a usos contrários; qual deva ser o uso de cada um desses, o juiz é o oleiro.
7 But also a potter, thrusting (or squeezing) [the] nesh earth, by great travail maketh each vessel to (or for) our uses; and (out) of the same clay he maketh vessels that be clean to use (or be for clean uses), and in like manner those that be contrary to these; forsooth what use is of these vessels, the potter is (the) judge.

7 Um oleiro amassa e molda o barro de modo a fazer cada utensílio para nosso uso. Do mesmo barro ele faz objetos que servem para serviços especiais e outros ainda para coisas correntes. É o oleiro quem decide para que tipo de serviço tal utensílio será usado.
