Weep bitterly, and make great moan, and use lamentation, as he is worthy, and that a day or two, lest thou be evil spoken of: and then comfort thyself for thy heaviness.

[16] Make bitter weeping, and make passionate wailing,And let thy mourning be according to his desert, For one day or two, lest thou be evil spoken of: And so be comforted for thy sorrow.

But for backbiting, bear thou bitterly the mourning of him (for) one day; and be thou comforted for sorrow. And make thou mourning after his merit (for) one day, either twain, for backbiting. [For the accusing forsooth bitterly bear wailing of him one day; and take comfort for heaviness. And do wailing after the deserving of him one day, or two, for backbiting.]
