And when the men of the city saw them on the top of the hill, they took up their weapons, and went out of the city against them to the top of the hill: and every man that used a sling kept them from coming up, and cast stones against them.

E, estando no meio dos anciãos e em presença de todo o povo, Aquior contou tudo o que tinha respondido quando Holofernes o interrogara, e como a gente de Holofernes quis matá-lo por ter ele falado assim;

Quando os homens da cidade os viram no cimo dos montes, tomaram suas armas, saíram da cidade e foram para lá, enquanto os fundibulários, para impedir que subissem, lançavam pedras sobre eles.
