And it came to pass, when [37] Achior had finished speaking these words, all the people that compassed the tent and stood round about it murmured; and the great men of Holofernes, and all that dwelt [38] by the sea side, and in [39] Moab, spake that he should kill him.

Há alguns anos, com efeito, tendo-se afastado da via em que Deus lhes ordenara caminhar, foram derrotados nos combates contra várias nações, e muitos dentre eles levados para o cativeiro.
