And they called Achior [6] out of the house of Ozias; but when he came, and saw the head of Holofernes in a man's hand in the assembly of the people, he fell upon his face, and his spirit failed.

Então Aquior, vendo o poder que manifestara o Deus de Israel, abandonou o culto pagão, creu em Deus, circuncidou-se e foi incorporado ao povo de Israel, assim como toda a sua descendência até o dia de hoje.

Chamaram, pois, Aquior na casa de Ozias. Quando veio e viu a cabeça de Holofernes na mão de um homem na assembléia do povo, caiu com o rosto por terra e desmaiou.

Then Achior saw the virtue that God of Israel had done, and he forsook the custom of heathenness, and he believed to (or in) God; and he circumcised the flesh of his rod, and he was put (or was joined) to the people of Israel, and all the after-coming of his kin till into this day, or unto this time. [Then Achior seeing the virtue that God of Israel had done, left (or let go of) the custom of his heathenness, and believed to God; and circumcised the flesh of his rod, and is put to the people of Israel, and all the succession of his kindred unto the day that is now.]
