And God turn these things to thee for a perpetual praise, to visit thee with good things, because thou didst not spare thy life by reason of the affliction of our race, but didst avenge our fall, walking a straight way before our God. [22] And all the people said, So be it, so be it.

Mas juro-vos, pelo mesmo Senhor, que o seu anjo me protegeu, tanto ao partir, como ao demorar-me lá, e como ao voltar, e o Senhor não permitiu que sua serva fosse manchada: ele reconduziu-me a vós livre de toda a mancha de pecado, cheia de alegria por sua vitória, pela minha salvação e pela vossa libertação.

Faça Deus com que sejas exaltada para sempre, que te visite com seus bens, pois que não poupaste tua vida por causa da humilhação de nossa raça, mas vieste em socorro de nosso abatimento, caminhando, retamente, diante de nosso Deus." Todo o povo respondeu: "Amém! Amém!"

Forsooth the Lord God liveth, for his angel hath kept me, both going from hence, and dwelling there, and (re)turning again from thence hither; and the Lord hath not suffered (or allowed) his handmaid to be defouled (or defiled), but without defouling [or pollution] of sin he hath again-called me to you, and I have joy in (the) victory of the Lord, or in his victory, and in my escaping, and in your deliverance.
