Open thine eyes, and behold; for the dead that are in the graves, whose souls are taken from their bodies, will give unto the Lord neither praise nor righteousness:

Abri os vossos olhos, e volvei-os sobre nós! Não são os mortos das moradas subterrâneas, cujo sopro se lhes desprendeu das entranhas, que rendem glória ao Senhor, (e louvam) sua justiça,

abre, Senhor, os teus olhos e vê. Pois não são os mortos no Hades,[j] aqueles cujo espírito foi retirado de suas entranhas, que renderão glória e justiça ao Senhor.
