Whereupon there was a very sore battle; but Judas' side by the help of God got the victory; so that the Nomades of Arabia, being overcome, besought Judas for peace, promising both to give him cattle, and to pleasure him otherwise.

And when a sore battle had been fought, and Judas and his company [17] by the help of God had good success, the nomads being overcome besought Judas to grant them friendship, promising to give him cattle, and to help [18] his people in all other ways.

Travou-se um combate violento, mas, com a ajuda de Deus, os soldados de Judas venceram-nos, e, vencidos, os árabes lhe pediram paz: prometiam dar gado aos judeus e os auxiliariam de outras maneiras.

Travando-se um combate violento, mas, pela ajuda de Deus, levando a melhor os homens de Judas, os nômades, vencidos, pediram a Judas que lhes estendesse a mão direita. E prometeram entregar-lhe gado e ser-lhe úteis em tudo o mais.

Travou-se uma violenta batalha e, com a ajuda de Deus, os de Judas levaram a melhor, e os nómadas, aniquilados, acharam por bem pedir a Judas que lhes estendesse a mão direita em sinal de paz, prometendo ceder-lhe o seu gado e auxiliá-los em tudo o mais.
