Therefore send them now home again, and choose a few men to wait on thee, and come thou with me to Ptolemais, for I will give it thee, and the rest of the strong holds and forces, and all that have any charge: as for me, I will return and depart: for this is the cause of my coming.

And now send them away to their homes, but choose for thyself a few men who shall be with thee, and come thou with me to [46] Ptolemais, and I will give it up to thee, and the rest of the strongholds and the rest of the forces, and all the king's officers: and I will return and depart; for this is the cause of my coming.

Envia-os de volta a suas casas e escolhe alguns para ficarem contigo. Após isso, acompanhar-me-ás a Ptolemaida e entregarte-ei a cidade, todas as outras fortalezas, as outras tropas e todos os funcionários; feito isto, retirar-me-ei, porque foi para isso que vim.

Por isso, manda-os de volta às suas casas, depois de escolheres para ti uns poucos homens que estejam contigo, e vem comigo a Ptolemaida. E eu a entregarei a ti junto com as outras fortalezas, o restante das tropas e todos os encarregados dos negócios.[o] Depois, tomando o caminho da volta, partirei, pois é para isto que estou aqui."

And now send again them into their (own) houses [or And now send them again into their houses]. But choose thou to thee (or for thyself) a few men, that be with thee, and come thou with me to Ptolemais, and I shall give it to thee, and other strengths, and host(s) (or other strongholds, and armies), and all sovereigns of offices [or and all provosts, or sovereigns, of need]; and I shall (re)turn, and I shall go away. For why therefore I came.

Manda os teus soldados para as suas casas; escolhe alguns para ficarem contigo, e vamos juntos para Ptolemaida. Eu entregar-te-ei essa cidade, juntamente com as outras fortalezas, e o resto dos soldados e todos os oficiais. Depois sairei de lá e voltarei para casa, pois foi justamente para fazer isso que aqui vim.»
