As the clay is in the potter's hand, to fashion it at his pleasure: so man is in the hand of him that made him, to render to them as liketh him best.

[14] As the clay of the potter in his hand,All his ways are according to his good pleasure; So men are in the hand of him that made them, To render unto them according to his judgement.

Como o barro está nas mãos do oleiro, que o molda e o dispõe,

Como a argila na mão do oleiro, que a amolda a seu bel-prazer,[s] assim são os homens na mão de seu Criador, que lhes retribui segundo o seu julgamento.

As (the) clay of a potter is in the hand of him, to make and dispose, (so) that all the ways thereof be after the ordinance of him; so a man is in the hand of him that made him; and he shall yield to him by his doom. [As the clay of the crocker in the hand of him to form and to dispose it, all the ways of it after his disposition; so a man in his hand that made him; and he shall yield to them after his doom.]
