He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.

Glory not in the putting on of raiment, And [4] exalt not thyself in the day of honour; [5] For the works of the Lord are wonderful,And his works are hidden among men.

Não te glories nunca de tuas vestes, não te engrandeças no dia em que fores homenageado, pois só as obras do Altíssimo são admiráveis, dignas de glória, misteriosas e invisíveis.[*]

Não te envaideças quando te honrarem:[a] pois as obras do Senhor são admiráveis, mas aos homens elas são ocultas.[b]

He that espieth the wind, soweth not; and he that beholdeth the clouds, shall never reap. (He who looketh for the wind, soweth not; and he who watcheth the clouds, shall never reap, or bring in the harvest.)

Have thou never glory in cloth-ing, and be thou not enhanced in the day of thine honour; for why the works of the Highest alone be wonderful, and his works be glorious, and hid, and unseen.

Boast not of your clothing and raiment, and exalt not yourself in the day of honor: for the works of Yahuah are wonderful, and his works among men are hidden.
