[15] And he entered into the tent where Judith lodged: and he found her not, and he leaped out to the people, and cried aloud,

Ouvindo estas palavras, todos os oficiais do exército assírio rasgaram suas vestes, um terror e um espanto extremos os invadiram, e os seus espíritos ficaram completamente desorientados, e um clamor indescritível levantou-se do acampamento.

Entrou em seguida na tenda onde se alojava Judite e não a encontrou. Precipitou-se então, para o povo e gritou:

And when the princes of the virtue, or the power, of (the) Assyrians had heard this thing, all they rent their clothes, and unsufferable dread and trembling felled down upon them, and their souls were troubled greatly. [The which thing when had heard the princes of the virtue of Assyrians, all cut their clothes, and intolerable dread and trembling fell upon then, and their inwit be disturbed greatly.]
