But when the evening was come, [1] his servants made haste to depart, and Bagoas shut the tent without, and dismissed them that waited from the presence of his lord; [2] and they went away to their beds: for they were all weary, because the feast had been long.

Quando ficou tarde, seus oficiais apressaram-se em partir. Bagoas fechou a tenda por fora, depois de ter afastado da presença de seu senhor os que ali estavam. Foram dormir, pois estavam todos cansados por causa do excesso de bebida.

Forsooth as soon as eventide was made, his servants hast(en)ed to their inns, that is, (to their) tents; and Bagoas closed together the doors of the closet where Holofernes lay, and went forth.
