Since their victuals failed them, [10] and all their water was scant, [11] they took counsel to lay hands upon their cattle, and determined to consume all those things, which God charged them by his laws that they should not eat:

E mesmo as primícias consagradas ao Senhor, seu Deus, que o Senhor lhes proibiu tocar - trigo, vinho e azeite - eles pensam empregá-las, e querem assim comer aquilo que não lhes é permitido nem tocar com as mãos. Procedendo assim, é certo que serão entregues à ruína.

Quando lhes faltaram víveres e escasseou a água, resolveram lançar mão de seu rebanho e decidiram consumir tudo o que, por suas leis, Deus havia determinado que não comessem.[l]

and they have thought to give these holy things of their Lord to buy with (yea), wheat, wine, and oil, which God commanded to be not touched, and they will waste the things, which they ought not to touch with hands; therefore for they do these things, it is certain that they shall be given into perdition. [and the holy things of their Lord, that God commanded not to be touched, wheat, wine, and oil, these things they have thought to give out, and will waste those things, that with hands they should not touch; then for these things they do, it is certain that into losing (or destruction) they shall be given.]

and they have thought to give these holy things of their Lord to buy with, wheat, wine, and oil, which God commanded to be not touched, and they will waste the things, which they ought not to touch with hands; therefore for they do these things, it is certain that they shall be given into perdition.
