Therefore have we commanded, that all they that are signified in writing unto you by Aman, who is ordained over the affairs, and is next unto us, shall all, with their wives and children, be utterly destroyed by the sword of their enemies, without all mercy and pity, the fourteenth day of the twelfth month Adar of this present year:

por essas razões, ordenamos que todos aqueles que vos são indicados pelas cartas de Amã (o homem que está à frente de nossos interesses e que nos é um segundo pai), sejam todos radicalmente exterminados, mesmo mulheres e crianças, pela espada de seus inimigos, sem nenhuma compaixão, nem clemência, no dia catorze do duodécimo mês, chamado de Adar, do presente ano.
